Melbourne Airport · Terminal 4
Terminal 4Jetstar Pickup
Terminal 4 is the low-cost terminal, used by Jetstar, Rex and Link Airways. It is a separate building from the other three, and it has its own pickup arrangement, which is where most of the confusion at Melbourne Airport comes from.
- 20 minutes free waiting
- Flight tracked
- Fixed price from $96
- Kerbside pickup
Who flies from here
Jetstar, Rex and Link Airways
Jetstar domestic, Rex and Link Airways use Terminal 4. Jetstar international flights are the exception: those arrive at Terminal 2 with every other international service, because you have to clear passport control.
A separate building
Terminal 4 sits apart from Terminals 1, 2 and 3. It is a short covered walk, but it is not the same arrivals hall, and a driver waiting at the wrong one is a long ten minutes.
Pickup on Level 1
The airport puts private vehicle pickup for Terminal 4 on Level 1, with drop-off above on Level 2 and taxis and rideshare down on the ground forecourt.
Its arrangement is staying put
While Terminals 1, 2 and 3 move to a new transport hub in late 2026, Terminal 4 keeps the layout it has now.
Where to walk
Meeting your driver
Your driver waits on the Terminal 4 pickup level, not at the main terminal kerb. Their name, photo, plate number and the exact spot reach you by text before you land, which matters more here than anywhere else at Melbourne.
Before you land
A text arrives with your driver's name, photo, plate number and the exact spot to walk to.
When you land
Collect your bag, then follow the signs to pickup on Level 1 rather than walking out of the ground floor doors with the taxi queue.
If you are held up
You have 20 minutes of free waiting from the moment the aircraft is on the ground, and a delayed flight moves the pickup rather than costing you anything.

Terminal 4 questions
Why is Terminal 4 different?
It was built as a low-cost terminal and it sits in its own building, so it has its own roads, its own levels and its own pickup point. Everything else at Melbourne shares one complex.
I am on Jetstar but flying international. Which terminal?
Terminal 2. Every international arrival at Melbourne clears passport control at T2, including Jetstar's. Only Jetstar domestic uses Terminal 4.
Where exactly do I meet the driver at T4?
On the pickup level, Level 1, rather than the ground floor where taxis and rideshare queue. Your text tells you which door to come out of, and if you end up in the wrong place, call and your driver will come to you.
Is a T4 transfer more expensive?
No. The fare depends on where you are going and which vehicle you need, not which terminal you walked out of.
Can you take a big group off a Jetstar flight?
Yes. A minivan seats seven with six bags and a minibus seats eleven with eleven bags, both at one fixed price for the vehicle rather than per person. Book one car rather than splitting the group across three.
